Since then, Marga joined two of the largest international news organizations — CNN and Al Jazeera — and has gone to the most vulnerable communities around the world speaking with the people most affected by calamities, both natural and man-made.
Apart from covering typhoons, drought, rising sea levels, and the plight of climate refugees, she’s interviewed world leaders and influencers in various fields, across Asia, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East.
Marga has also spent quite a bit of time in desert war zones, and other hostile environments.
There were also socio-political crises, and global financial meltdowns.
Some time among all that, Marga was awarded a British Council scholarship. She completed a Masters in Literature in the United Kingdom. It reinforced her dedication to telling the human story; making her more than capable of becoming a media strategist and communications coach.
Through it all, she’s kept somewhat sane thanks to chocolate, and show tunes.*
